The AI Software Factory Summit (Code Remix by Moderne) takes place in late February at the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort, right on the Broadwalk in Hollywood, Florida, between Miami and Fort Lauderdale. February is South Florida's dry, sunny peak season, with warm days and mild evenings — a contrast to most attendees' winter at home. The beachfront setting suits a three-day event where hallway conversations about code transformation easily spill out onto the promenade.
Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International (FLL) is the closest airport, usually 15–20 minutes by taxi or rideshare. Miami International (MIA) is about 35–50 minutes south depending on traffic and offers more long-haul connections. Brightline and Tri-Rail run along the coast, but from either airport a direct taxi or rideshare to the beachfront is the most practical option, as the resort sits on the barrier island east of the Intracoastal Waterway.
Skip the taxi queue — pre-book a fixed-price airport transfer with Kiwitaxi. Exploring beyond the city? compare rental cars on EconomyBookings.
US mobile networks cover the Hollywood beachfront well, and the resort provides guest Wi-Fi. International visitors can avoid roaming charges by setting up an eSIM before departure. Set up an eSIM with Airalo before you board and you're online the moment you land.
Hollywood Beach Broadwalk. The 2.5-mile brick-paved Broadwalk runs right past the venue and is the obvious place for an early-morning walk or run before sessions. February mornings are usually comfortable; sunset is a popular time, so allow 45–60 minutes and bring sunscreen even in winter.
Anne Kolb Nature Center. A short drive west across the Intracoastal, this park protects a large mangrove estuary with boardwalk trails and an observation tower. Allow 1–2 hours; mornings are cooler and better for birdwatching, which is particularly good in the winter months.
Las Olas Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale. About 20–30 minutes north by car, Las Olas offers restaurants, galleries and canal-side walking. It works well for a team dinner on one of the conference evenings; weekend nights get busy in peak season, so booking ahead is sensible. Tickets on Tiqets →
Which airport is best for the AI Software Factory Summit?
Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood (FLL) is closest, typically 15–20 minutes from the Hollywood beachfront. Miami (MIA) has more international flights but is a longer ride.
Is a car needed in Hollywood, Florida?
Not for the conference itself, since the resort is self-contained on the Broadwalk. Rideshare covers short trips; a rental car helps only if you plan to explore further along the coast.
