"Verified" is the whole point of this directory, so here is exactly what that word means — what gets checked, against which source, and how often.
Every listing must link to the conference's official website. URLs on aggregator or ticketing domains (Eventbrite, Meetup, form builders) are flagged as unverified and excluded from the "Visit Official Website" button until a genuine official domain is confirmed. All stored URLs are re-tested for reachability on a rolling basis; dead links are marked and re-hunted.
Dates come from the organizer's own site or from community-maintained datasets that reference it, and are re-checked when sources disagree. Call-for-Papers deadlines are verified against the official CFP page; expired deadlines are removed automatically at three separate layers, so a closed CFP is never shown as open.
The directory syncs daily from several independent sources, with fuzzy de-duplication (normalized names, official domains, dates and cities) so the same event never appears twice. Conflicting entries are resolved in favour of the organizer's official page — including manual verification for edge cases.
When a conference ends its page is retired, and the address permanently redirects to the next edition of the same conference as soon as it is announced — so bookmarks, badges and search links keep working across years.

Destination sections are written individually for each conference around its actual venue and season, and pass an automated similarity gate so that two conferences in the same city never share recycled text. Practical details like transit times are stated conservatively and should always be confirmed before travel.
