Future Builders is an in-person conference in Vienna, Austria focused on AI, Data, Machine Learning. The event gathers AI and machine learning engineers for a day of talks, workshops, and peer networking in 2026. The programme covers LLMs, model deployment, MLOps, responsible AI, and practical AI integration in software products. The conference takes place in Vienna, Austria.
Vienna's reputation for imperial grandeur undersells what a founder-focused single-day event actually gets: a city ranked repeatedly among the world's most liveable, with cheap transport, fast rail links across Central Europe, and September weather that makes the Danube island and the vineyard hills on the northern edge genuinely usable after sessions end.
Vienna International Airport connects to the city by S-Bahn and by railjet services that continue to Wien Hauptbahnhof, alongside the faster City Airport Train. Hauptbahnhof itself has direct trains from Budapest, Prague, Munich and Zurich, so the overland option is realistic for regional attendees. Inside the city, five U-Bahn lines and a dense tram network run frequently and cheaply.

Austrian mobile networks perform consistently in the city and along the Danube corridor. An eSIM set up before arrival is the least troublesome way to have data working from the airport platform onwards. Set up an eSIM with Airalo before you board and you're online the moment you land.
Kunsthistorisches Museum. The imperial art collection on the Ring, strongest in Bruegel, Vermeer and Habsburg-era treasury objects, under a domed hall worth seeing on its own. Two hours covers the picture gallery; the cafe beneath the dome is a legitimate destination in itself. Tickets on Tiqets →
Schoenbrunn Palace. The Habsburg summer residence southwest of the centre, where the terraced gardens and the Gloriette viewpoint are free to walk even without a palace ticket. Reached in twenty minutes on the U4 line; the grounds alone justify ninety minutes. Tickets on Tiqets →
Danube Island. A twenty-one kilometre artificial island splitting the river, used by Viennese for cycling, swimming and running. It is a striking piece of flood-control engineering repurposed as a public space, minutes from the centre by U1, and ideal for an early run.
Grinzing heurigen. Wine taverns on the northern hillsides where growers serve their own young wine alongside cold buffets. Trams and buses reach the villages in about forty minutes, and an evening there is the most local possible end to a conference day.
How expensive is public transport in Vienna?
Notably cheap by Western European standards, with 24- and 48-hour passes covering U-Bahn, tram and bus across the central zone.
Can I get to Vienna by train?
Yes. Wien Hauptbahnhof has frequent direct services from Budapest, Prague, Munich, Salzburg and Zurich.
What is the weather in late September?
Pleasantly mild, often sunny, with cool evenings. It coincides with the start of the young-wine season in the hillside taverns.
