Swift Bharat is India's premier community-run conference for Apple platform developers, held over two days in Mumbai. The event gathers Apple platform enthusiasts from across the country and beyond for focused learning and knowledge exchange. India has an enormous developer population but comparatively few dedicated Apple platform conferences, and Swift Bharat was established to address that gap. The event attracts roughly 230 professional developers — a scale that keeps it conversational rather than anonymous, which community organisers have preserved deliberately. The two-day programme combines conference talks with panel discussions, lightning sessions and structured networking time, covering best practices in building for iOS, macOS and the wider Apple ecosystem. Content is aimed at working developers rather than newcomers, spanning Swift language features, framework adoption, architecture and shipping practice. Its community-run character keeps ticket pricing and programming independent of vendor influence. For iOS and Swift developers in India, Swift Bharat is the country's principal annual gathering for Apple platform work and the main venue for building professional connections within that specialism.
Swift Bharat 2026 takes place November 19–20, 2026 in Mumbai, India.

Mumbai in the third week of November is at its most agreeable: the monsoon is months gone, humidity has dropped and evenings are genuinely pleasant. A two-day Swift and iOS conference here sits in India's financial capital, a dense island city where journeys take far longer than the map suggests. South Mumbai holds the colonial-era architecture and museums, while the newer business districts spread north.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International (BOM) handles both international and domestic traffic from adjacent terminals. Prepaid taxis and app-based rides reach the southern districts in forty-five to ninety minutes depending on traffic, which is heavy for much of the day. Metro lines now serve parts of the western and central corridors, and the suburban rail network is fast but extremely crowded at peak hours.
Skip the taxi queue — pre-book a fixed-price airport transfer with Kiwitaxi. Exploring beyond the city? compare rental cars on EconomyBookings.

Indian mobile data is fast and among the cheapest anywhere, with strong coverage across the city. A prepaid eSIM activated before arrival avoids the paperwork involved in buying a local SIM as a visitor. Set up an eSIM with Airalo before you board and you're online the moment you land.
Gateway of India and Elephanta Caves. The harbourfront arch is the departure point for ferries to the rock-cut Elephanta temples on an island an hour away. The caves are a UNESCO site and closed on Mondays. Allow a full half day for the round trip including the boat. Tickets on Klook →
Marine Drive. A three-kilometre seafront promenade curving around Back Bay, best walked in the late afternoon as the streetlights come on along the curve. Free and always open. An hour end to end, finishing near Chowpatty beach for street food.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya. The principal museum of the city, in an Indo-Saracenic building in the Fort district, covering sculpture, miniature painting and natural history. Two hours. It sits within walking distance of several other colonial-era landmarks.
Kala Ghoda and the Fort district. A compact art precinct of galleries, bookshops and nineteenth-century civic architecture, walkable in ninety minutes. It gives the clearest sense of how the older city was planned. Best in the morning before the heat and traffic build.
What is the weather like in November?
Warm and dry, with highs around thirty-two degrees Celsius and comfortable evenings near twenty-two. The monsoon has long ended by this point.
How should I get around the city?
App-based cabs and auto-rickshaws for most trips, with metro lines useful on some corridors. Allow far more time than the distance suggests, as traffic is persistent.
Do visitors need a visa?
Most nationalities require a visa for India, with an e-visa available in advance for many countries. Apply well before travelling as processing is not instant.
