Mid-October is one of the kinder windows in Las Vegas: the desert heat has broken to comfortable mid-20s days and cool evenings, which makes the walk between Strip properties tolerable. Money20/20 runs at The Venetian, on the central Strip, so the casino floors, the conference halls and a large share of the delegate hotels are connected by indoor walkways. Nights here are the networking programme as much as the sessions are.
Harry Reid International (LAS) is unusually close in - roughly 10-15 minutes by taxi or rideshare to the central Strip, with no motorway slog. There is no direct rail from the airport. Once you are on the Strip, the Las Vegas Monorail links several resorts along the east side and is faster than walking the long blocks between properties, which are deceptively far apart on foot.

Coverage across the Strip resorts is dense, but conference-hall congestion and international roaming charges both bite during a four-day event. Red Rock Canyon. A desert conservation area of red sandstone escarpments about 30 minutes west of the Strip, with a 13-mile scenic drive and short marked trails off it. October temperatures make midday hiking feasible. Half a day covers the loop and one walk; timed entry applies in peak months.

How far is the airport from the Strip?
Harry Reid International is about 10-15 minutes by taxi or rideshare from the central Strip, one of the shortest airport transfers of any major US conference city.
Can I walk between Strip hotels?
You can, but the blocks are much longer than they look and a hotel-to-hotel walk can take 20 minutes or more. The Monorail and the indoor connecting walkways save a lot of time.
What is the weather like in October?
Pleasant by Las Vegas standards - typically mid-20s C during the day, dropping noticeably after dark. Bring a layer for evenings and expect very dry air throughout.
