About
RubyConf is the annual conference of Ruby Central, the non-profit that also runs RubyGems and Bundler, and it has gathered the Ruby community every year since 2001. The 2027 edition takes place from 24 to 26 May 2027 at the Hilton Portland Downtown in Portland, Oregon. The organizer announces that early-bird and supporter tickets go on sale on 11 November 2026, together with a discounted hotel room block at the venue. The programme of a RubyConf is built from keynotes, talks across several tracks, workshops and community sessions: language and interpreter development, Rails and web frameworks, testing, performance, developer tooling, open-source maintenance and the people who keep the ecosystem running. Attendees range from newcomers to long-time maintainers, and the hallway track, the sponsor hall and the evening community events are as much a part of the conference as the sessions.
