November lands Sydney Tech Expo in mid-spring, warm without the January heat, and the scale is the thing to plan around: two days, ten thousand-plus attendees and fourteen parallel summits inside ICC Sydney on Darling Drive. Unlike a single-track conference, this one runs as a trade floor, so the practical questions are about pacing an exhibition hall rather than choosing talks. Sydney Airport (SYD) is unusually close — roughly 20 minutes by taxi to Darling Harbour, or two stops on the Airport Line to Central then a short walk or light rail hop. The L1 light rail runs from Central along Darling Drive and stops at Exhibition Centre, essentially at the door. Australian National Maritime Museum. Directly across the water from the exhibition centre, close enough to reach in a lunch break. Sydney Fish Market. A short light rail ride west to Blackwattle Bay, best treated as an early breakfast rather than a dinner plan — trading starts at dawn and winds down mid-afternoon. Buy from the counters and eat outside on the wharf. Expect gulls, and do not leave a plate unattended.
Cockatoo Island. A former shipyard and convict site in the middle of the harbour, reached by ferry from Barangaroo in about twenty minutes. The industrial ruins are left largely as they were, which makes it the least polished harbour destination and the most interesting. Half a day, and check the last ferry back.
Observatory Hill and The Rocks. The oldest quarter of the city, twenty-five minutes on foot north along the harbour from Darling Harbour. The hill above it gives the best free view of the bridge. Go at dusk after the exhibition floor closes, then stay for dinner in the laneways below.
How do I get from the airport to ICC Sydney?
Taxi or ride-hail takes about 20 minutes. By train, take the Airport Line to Central Station, then the L1 light rail to the Exhibition Centre stop, which is beside the venue.
Do I need a car?

What should I expect from the weather in November?
Mid-spring, generally 17–25C, with a real chance of an afternoon shower. Air conditioning inside the halls runs cold, so a layer is worth carrying.
