RAW-Gelände. A former railway repair yard in Friedrichshain now occupied by clubs, street art, a climbing wall and food stalls. It is scruffy, loud and entirely open to walk through. Evenings are when it comes alive; an hour wandering is enough to get the measure of it.
Markthalle Neun. A restored nineteenth-century market hall in Kreuzberg with a strong producer focus and a well-known street food evening on Thursdays. Go hungry and arrive early, as it fills quickly. Around an hour, and a short walk from Görlitzer Bahnhof.
Tempelhofer Feld. The runways and apron of the closed Tempelhof airport, left open as a vast public field where people cycle, skate and fly kites. Utterly flat and exposed, so November wind is a factor. A loop of the perimeter takes about ninety minutes.
Boros Collection. A private contemporary art collection installed inside a wartime bunker in Mitte, accessible only on a booked guided tour. Slots are released periodically and go quickly, so plan several weeks out. The tour runs around ninety minutes.
Is it safe to walk in the eastern districts at night?
Generally yes, and these areas stay busy late. Standard city caution around crowded nightlife strips and station entrances is enough.

Not reliably. Many bars, market stalls and smaller venues in Kreuzberg and Neukölln are cash-only, so carry euros.
Is cycling realistic in November?
Yes, with a windproof layer and lights. The city is flat, has extensive bike lanes, and snow is uncommon this early in the season.
