The DC Blockchain Summit is the policy-focused annual gathering for the blockchain and digital asset industry in the United States, held in Washington, DC. The 2027 edition runs across two days and convenes government officials, regulators, congressional staff, financial institutions and blockchain companies in the same programme. Its distinguishing feature is the emphasis on digital asset regulation and public policy rather than purely technical content: sessions address regulatory frameworks, compliance obligations, institutional adoption, and the competitiveness of the United States as a jurisdiction for blockchain development. Speakers are drawn from regulatory agencies, established financial firms and cryptocurrency companies, which gives the discussions a directness not often found at industry-only events. The audience skews toward executives, counsel, policy specialists and compliance leaders rather than protocol engineers. Its location in the capital allows attendees to combine the summit with direct engagement on Capitol Hill. For organisations whose blockchain work is shaped by United States regulation, this Washington blockchain summit is the central annual venue.
DC Blockchain Summit 2027 takes place April 6–7, 2027 in Washington, United States.
DC Blockchain Summit 2027 is an in-person event.

A policy-facing blockchain summit in Washington lands in the one week the city is at its most photographed: early April, when the Tidal Basin cherry trees are usually in or just past bloom. The federal core is compact and almost entirely walkable, monuments and museums sitting within a few blocks of the hotels, while the real neighbourhood life runs east into Shaw and along the H Street corridor.
Reagan National (DCA) is the closest, about fifteen minutes on the Metro Blue or Yellow line straight into the centre. Dulles (IAD) is roughly forty-five minutes to an hour via the Silver line extension, and Baltimore/Washington (BWI) adds a commuter rail leg. The Metro covers the federal district efficiently; a SmarTrip card or contactless tap handles fares.

Network coverage is dense across the district, including underground on most Metro platforms. International visitors generally find an eSIM the least troublesome option, avoiding US carrier contracts entirely. Set up an eSIM with Airalo before you board and you're online the moment you land.
National Mall monuments after dark. The Lincoln, Vietnam and Korean War memorials stay open and lit through the night, and after nine the crowds thin to almost nobody. Walking the Reflecting Pool end to end takes about an hour. This is the single best use of a free evening between sessions.
Smithsonian museums. More than a dozen federal museums along and around the Mall, all free to enter, ranging from Air and Space to American History. Entry queues are shortest at opening. Pick one and go deep rather than attempting several; two to three hours each is realistic.
Tidal Basin loop. A two-mile path around the water past the Jefferson and Martin Luther King Jr memorials, and the centre of the cherry blossom season in early April. Go at first light to get the reflections without the crowds. Allow an hour, more if the bloom is at peak.
Eastern Market and Capitol Hill. A nineteenth-century covered market surrounded by rowhouse streets, busiest at weekends when outdoor stalls extend along the block. It gives a plainer, residential read of the city than the federal core does. Combine with a walk to the Capitol grounds; two hours. Tickets on Go City →
Which airport is most convenient?
Reagan National, by a wide margin. It connects directly to the Metro and reaches downtown in around fifteen minutes.
Will the cherry blossoms be out during the summit?
Early April is the typical window, but peak bloom shifts by a week or more with the weather each year. Treat it as likely rather than guaranteed.
Is a car useful in Washington?
No. Parking is expensive and scarce, and the Metro plus walking covers the entire central area comfortably.
