DEVWorld is a two-day developer conference held at RAI Amsterdam in the Netherlands, positioning itself around artificial intelligence engineering and modern web development. The 2027 edition runs on 3 and 4 June with a programme of thirty-one deep-dive sessions. Content spans practical AI integration and adoption strategy, JavaScript and full-stack development, DevOps practice, application security, and cloud infrastructure, with speakers drawn from engineering teams at companies including AWS, Netflix, Oracle, GitHub, and Microsoft. The session-count-over-track-count approach keeps the schedule navigable and favours depth over breadth, which suits teams attending together rather than individual conference-goers. Surrounding the technical programme the organisers run community events, city tours, and social gatherings across Amsterdam, giving the event a stronger networking character than its size would suggest. For engineering teams in the Benelux region and northern Europe working out how artificial intelligence fits into existing development practice, this developer conference offers a concentrated and practically oriented two days.
DEVWorld 2027 takes place June 3–4, 2027 in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
DEVWorld 2027 is an in-person event.

Early June in Amsterdam means the city has shifted north and east: the creative activity that a developer conference draws on now concentrates around the former shipyards and gasworks rather than the canal ring. Days run to sixteen hours of light. Ferries behind Centraal station cross the IJ waterway free of charge every few minutes, which puts an entire industrial-turned-cultural district within ten minutes of the centre.
Schiphol (AMS) links to Amsterdam Centraal by direct train in roughly fifteen minutes. From behind the station, free passenger ferries cross to Noord continuously, carrying bicycles and foot passengers. The GVB metro line 52 runs north-south beneath the city, and contactless bank cards are accepted on all of it. Hiring a bicycle at the station remains the fastest way to move around.

Mobile data performs well across the metropolitan area including on the IJ ferries. Delegates from outside the EU roaming zone will find an eSIM materially cheaper than carrier day passes over a multi-day conference. Set up an eSIM with Airalo before you board and you're online the moment you land.
NDSM Wharf. A vast former shipbuilding yard in Noord, reached by free ferry in fifteen minutes, now given over to artist studios, a monthly flea market and large-scale murals on the remaining cranes and sheds. It is raw rather than curated. Two hours, more when a market is running.
Het Scheepvaartmuseum. The national maritime museum in a seventeenth-century naval storehouse on the eastern docklands, with a full-size replica East Indiaman moored alongside that visitors board. It explains the trading history that built the canal ring. Two hours, and good in poor weather. Tickets on Tiqets →
Westergas. A nineteenth-century gasworks west of the centre converted into a cultural park of cinemas, breweries and event halls surrounded by open lawn. It fills up on warm June evenings. Fifteen minutes by tram or bicycle from Centraal. An evening.
Amsterdam Noord by bicycle. Beyond the ferry terminals the district opens quickly into dykes, allotments and small villages that predate the city's expansion. Signposted routes make navigation straightforward without a map. It is the fastest way to leave the tourist city entirely. A half day.
Are the IJ ferries free?
Yes. The passenger ferries from behind Centraal station to Noord carry pedestrians and cyclists at no charge and run every few minutes.
How long does the airport train take?
About fifteen minutes from Schiphol to Amsterdam Centraal, with several departures an hour.
What is the weather like in early June?
Mild with very long evenings, but showers arrive quickly off the sea. Layers and a packable waterproof handle most conditions.
