Round Tower, Rundetårn. A seventeenth-century observatory in the old town, climbed by a spiral brick ramp rather than stairs — originally built so a horse and carriage could reach the top. How long does the metro take from the airport?
The M2 line reaches Ørestad in under ten minutes and the central city stations in fifteen to twenty. It runs continuously, including overnight.
Should I rent a bicycle?
If the weather is dry, yes. Copenhagen has separated cycle lanes on most main routes and bikes are frequently the fastest way across the city. Rental and city-bike schemes are widespread.
Is Denmark expensive?
Prices for food and drink are high by European standards. Market halls, bakeries and street-food venues offer better value than restaurant dining, and public transport is reasonably priced.
