PGConf.dev 2027, the PostgreSQL Developer Conference, runs May 11-14, 2027 at Plaza Centre-Ville in Montréal, Canada. PGConf.dev 2027 brings PostgreSQL developers and contributors to Montréal for four days in mid-May, when the city emerges decisively from its long winter. Terraces reopen along the main streets, the trees on Mount Royal leaf out, and residents make a point of being outdoors. The setting is distinctive in North America: a French-speaking metropolis with a stone-built old port district, a serious food culture and a bilingual tech community. Old Montréal and Notre-Dame Basilica. A steady 30 to 45 minute walk from downtown leads up to the Kondiaronk lookout, with a sweeping view over the skyscrapers to the river. Mid-May brings fresh foliage, and early morning is the quietest time.
Jean-Talon Market and Mile End. One of North America's largest open-air markets anchors Little Italy, and by May its stalls fill with Québec produce, cheeses and maple products. A short ride south, the Mile End district is home to the city's famous wood-fired bagel bakeries, open around the clock, and numerous independent cafes. Together they make an appetising half day.
Montréal Museum of Fine Arts. Spread across several pavilions on Sherbrooke Street, the city's principal art museum covers Québec and Canadian art, international works, and decorative arts and design. It is within walking distance of most downtown hotels and serves as a reliable fallback when spring showers arrive. Two hours suits the highlights; some evenings have extended hours.
