SIGGRAPH Asia 2026 brings the computer graphics and interactive techniques community to the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from 1 to 4 December. The venue sits in the KLCC precinct, directly beside the Petronas Twin Towers and the landscaped KLCC Park. Early December falls in the northeast monsoon season, so expect hot, humid days around 32 °C and frequent afternoon thunderstorms, which makes the covered walkways linking the convention centre to Suria KLCC mall and nearby hotels especially welcome.
Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL), with terminals KLIA and KLIA2, is about 50–60 km south of the city. The KLIA Ekspres train reaches KL Sentral in around 30 to 40 minutes; from there, the LRT or a taxi takes you to KLCC. Direct taxis and ride-hailing cars take about an hour. Aquaria KLCC. This aquarium is inside the convention centre complex itself, reached from the concourse level. Batu Caves. This Hindu temple complex, reached by a towering flight of colourful steps, lies about 13 km north of the city centre by KTM Komuter train or car. Go early in the morning to beat the heat and the December afternoon storms. Allow two to three hours including travel; dress modestly for temple areas.
Jalan Alor and Bukit Bintang. About 15–20 minutes' walk from KLCC via a covered elevated walkway, Bukit Bintang is KL's shopping and nightlife hub. Jalan Alor, one block over, comes alive after dark with street-food stalls serving satay, char kway teow and durian. Go after 7 pm and allow two hours.
