WebExpo 2027 is a web conference in Prague that deliberately crosses disciplinary lines, bringing together web developers, UX and UI designers, marketers and business professionals. Its premise is that building successful digital products requires these groups to understand one another, and its programme reflects that by spanning front-end development, JavaScript, design, product thinking and digital strategy. The main conference takes place on 26 and 27 May 2027 at Lucerna Palace, a historic venue in central Prague, with a workshop day on 28 May still to be confirmed. The scale is substantial for a Central European event, with around seventy talks and more than 1,600 attendees, which places WebExpo among the larger web and UX conferences in the region. Attendees can move between technical, design and business sessions, picking up ideas from fields adjacent to their own. The optional workshop day offers deeper, practical learning for those who want more than talks. The size of the audience also makes it a strong networking event for agencies, product teams and freelancers. For the Czech and wider Central European web community, WebExpo serves as a central meeting place where developers, designers and marketers share a single stage.

WebExpo returns from 26 to 28 May to Lucerna Palace, an Art Nouveau arcade complex on Vodičkova street just off Wenceslas Square in Prague's New Town. The building itself is part of the experience: a glass-roofed passage, a historic cinema, a grand ballroom hall and the famous upside-down horse sculpture hanging in the atrium. Late May brings long evenings and full riverside terraces, which suits a design and front-end crowd that tends to keep conversations going well after the last talk.
Václav Havel Airport (PRG) is roughly 17 km northwest of Lucerna. The quickest public option is the airport bus to Nádraží Veleslavín, then metro line A to Můstek, two minutes from the venue, taking about 40 to 50 minutes overall. The Airport Express bus serves the main railway station. Taxis or rideshares need around 30 minutes; avoid unlicensed drivers outside arrivals.

EU visitors roam at no extra cost in Czechia, while travellers from outside the bloc face high charges. Installing an eSIM before the flight is the simplest workaround. Set up an eSIM with Airalo before you board and you're online the moment you land.
Lucerna Passage and the Horse. Before or after sessions, take time to explore the venue's arcade, built in the early twentieth century by the Havel family. David Černý's sculpture of Saint Wenceslas astride an upturned dead horse hangs under the dome. The café and cinema nearby are worth a pause; fifteen minutes is enough, but returning at night is atmospheric.
Franciscan Garden. A tranquil walled garden hidden behind the buildings at the lower end of Wenceslas Square, a few minutes from Lucerna. It offers benches, rose beds and a playground, and is free. In late May it is a pleasant place for a lunch break away from the conference crowds. Twenty minutes is ample.
Náplavka Riverbank. The Vltava embankment south of the Dancing House turns into a lively promenade on spring evenings, with moored boat bars and a Saturday farmers market. Reach it in about fifteen minutes on foot from the venue. Allow an evening, and combine it with a look at the Dancing House building.
Letná Park Beer Garden. A hilltop park north of the Old Town with a popular summer beer garden under chestnut trees and a sweeping view over the bridges. Late May evenings here are relaxed and local. Tram connections take about twenty minutes from Lucerna; allow an hour or two, and bring a light jacket.
Can I pay by card everywhere?
Cards are widely accepted, including in most pubs and cafés. If you need cash, use a bank ATM rather than exchange booths in tourist areas.
What is the weather like in late May?
Usually warm, around 15 to 23°C, with occasional thunderstorms. Evenings can be cool, so pack a layer.
