Yocto Project Virtual Summit 2026.12

About

The Yocto Project Virtual Summit 2026.12 is the embedded Linux community's end-of-year technical conference, held entirely online from 1 to 3 December 2026 with registration handled through the Linux Foundation. The summit tracks the direction of the Yocto Project itself — new releases, development tools and features — alongside the next wave of embedded Linux technologies used to build customized Linux distributions and applications. The programme opens on 1 December with an optional full-day beginner class or hands-on session, followed by a two-day presentation track on 2–3 December. An open forum lets maintainers, trainers and users present papers on how the project is evolving and being used in the field, and workshops target engineers who build custom distributions day to day. Attendees — engineers, open source technologists, students and academics — get direct access to Yocto Project and OpenEmbedded maintainers for questions that rarely fit an issue tracker. For anyone shipping embedded Linux products, this virtual summit remains the most efficient way to stay current with the project's tooling and roadmap without leaving the desk.
