Automate 2027 is the largest robotics, artificial intelligence, and automation event in North America, held in Las Vegas, Nevada. The show combines a substantial trade exhibition with a conference programme covering industrial robotics, machine vision, motion control, artificial intelligence, and automation systems integration. Its orientation is firmly industrial and applied: the agenda addresses how manufacturers and logistics operators actually deploy robotics and automation, rather than research-stage work. Exhibitors span robot manufacturers, vision system vendors, integrators, and component suppliers, giving engineers and operations leaders direct access to the full automation supply chain in one venue. The conference sessions cover implementation practice, return-on-investment analysis, workforce considerations, and emerging applications of AI in manufacturing environments. Attendees are largely automation engineers, manufacturing leaders, systems integrators, and technical buyers evaluating deployment. A call for speakers runs ahead of each edition across all areas of automation. For anyone deploying robotics in North American industry, Automate is the principal annual gathering.
Automate 2027 takes place May 10–13, 2027 in Las Vegas, United States.
Automate 2027 is an in-person event.

An automation and robotics show in May puts delegates in Las Vegas as the desert heat is climbing towards summer, comfortable at breakfast and severe by three in the afternoon. The exhibition halls are vast enough that a full day inside is normal, which makes the surrounding geography matter more than the Strip does: sandstone canyons and state parks sit within an hour of the convention district in almost every direction.
Harry Reid International (LAS) is close enough that transfers are measured in minutes rather than hours, with rideshare collected from a designated garage level. Convention-district hotels cluster east of the resort corridor, and shuttle services usually run during major shows. For anything beyond the corridor, a rental car is far more practical than transit, which thins out quickly away from the Strip.

Exhibition halls of this scale routinely overload local cell capacity when tens of thousands of attendees arrive at once. An eSIM with a different network path than the venue Wi-Fi provides a useful fallback for demos and calls on the show floor. Set up an eSIM with Airalo before you board and you're online the moment you land.
Red Rock Canyon. A conservation area twenty-five minutes west, where Aztec sandstone cliffs rise in bands of red and cream above desert scrub. A one-way scenic loop road runs thirteen miles with pull-offs and short trails. Timed entry reservations apply in season. Go at first light in May. Half a day.
Valley of Fire State Park. An hour northeast, Nevada's oldest state park, with wind-eroded red sandstone formations and petroglyph panels reachable on short walks. It is emptier and more dramatic than anything closer to the city. Carry water and avoid midday entirely. A full day including the drive.
Las Vegas Arts District. Eighteen blocks south of downtown given over to galleries, antique shops, independent breweries and murals, operating on a completely different register from the resort corridor. First Friday events draw crowds. It is the most convincing local neighbourhood within reach. An evening.
Seven Magic Mountains. A land art installation twenty-five minutes south of the city: seven stacked columns of boulders painted in fluorescent colours, standing alone in open desert beside the interstate. Free and permanently open. It takes fifteen minutes on site plus the drive, best at sunrise or sunset.
How hot is Las Vegas in mid-May?
Warm mornings and hot afternoons, regularly well above thirty degrees Celsius. Outdoor plans work best before ten or after six.
Is a rental car necessary for this show?
Not for the convention district, where shuttles and rideshare suffice. It becomes worthwhile for the canyons and state parks outside the city.
How much walking do the exhibition halls involve?
A great deal. Trade shows at this scale spread across multiple halls, and comfortable shoes matter more than at most conferences.
