CES 2027 is the annual technology exhibition and conference owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association, held each January in Las Vegas. It is the largest consumer technology event in the world, drawing hardware manufacturers, software companies, automotive suppliers, startups, investors, retailers and media from more than 150 countries. The programme spans artificial intelligence, robotics, digital health, mobility, smart home, semiconductors, accessibility technology and immersive computing. The event combines a very large exhibition floor across multiple Las Vegas venues with a conference track of keynotes, panel sessions and industry-specific summits. Major brands traditionally use CES to unveil next-generation products, while the Eureka Park area gives early-stage startups direct access to buyers and investors. Attendees use CES 2027 to survey the state of consumer and enterprise hardware in a single week, meet supply-chain and distribution partners, and track where AI capability is moving from software into physical devices. For anyone working in consumer electronics, embedded systems or connected products, CES remains the defining fixture of the annual technology calendar.
CES 2027 takes place January 6–9, 2027 in Las Vegas, United States.
CES 2027 is an in-person event.

Early January drops Las Vegas into its coldest, driest stretch of the year, with crisp sunny afternoons around the mid-teens Celsius and genuinely cold desert nights. CES spreads across the Convention Center campus plus resort venues along the Strip, so badge-holders end up commuting between buildings all week. Book lodging early and treat the Convention Center as your anchor point rather than the Strip itself.
Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) sits about five kilometres from the Strip. Rideshare and taxi runs to Convention Center hotels normally take fifteen to twenty-five minutes, longer during CES arrival peaks. The Las Vegas Monorail links several Strip resorts directly to the Convention Center and is often faster than road traffic that week. The Convention Center Loop moves attendees between the halls underground. Driving is possible but parking fills early.
Skip the taxi queue — pre-book a fixed-price airport transfer with Welcome Pickups. Exploring beyond the city? compare rental cars on EconomyBookings.
Venue Wi-Fi handles most CES halls, though tens of thousands of simultaneous devices make it unreliable during keynotes. A prepaid eSIM activated before you land keeps maps, badge apps and meeting scheduling working without hunting for a signal. Set up an eSIM with Airalo before you board and you're online the moment you land.
Springs Preserve. A 180-acre site northwest of downtown built around the natural springs that made settlement here possible, with desert botanical gardens and a museum on Mojave ecology and water. Allow two to three hours. January is comfortable for the outdoor trails, and it is a genuine change of pace from convention halls.
The Mob Museum. Housed in a former federal courthouse downtown, this museum covers organised crime and law enforcement in America with courtroom exhibits and a basement speakeasy. Budget two hours. It pairs naturally with an evening downtown, and weekday mornings are far quieter than weekends. Tickets on Tiqets →
Ethel M Botanical Cactus Garden. A free three-acre cactus garden in Henderson, roughly twenty-five minutes southeast by car, attached to a working chocolate factory. Winter is the season the garden is lit up after dark. Under an hour to walk, and easy to combine with dinner away from the Strip crowds.
Death Valley National Park. About two hours west by car, and January is the sensible month to visit, with mild daytime temperatures instead of lethal summer heat. Badwater Basin and Zabriskie Point are the standard first-time stops. Rent a car, start early, and carry more water than you think you need.
Which airport should I fly into for CES?
Harry Reid International (LAS), which is unusually close to the venues at roughly five kilometres from the Strip. Arrival and departure days around CES are among the busiest of the airport's year, so allow extra time.
Do I need a rental car?
Not for the conference itself, since the Monorail and rideshare cover the Convention Center and Strip. Rent one only if you plan a day trip to Death Valley or the surrounding desert.
What is the weather like in early January?
Cool and very dry. Daytime highs typically sit in the mid-teens Celsius with nights near or below freezing, so bring a warm layer for evenings even though the days are sunny.
