Emirgan Park. The Bosphorus-side park that anchors the city's April tulip displays, planted in vast beds across the slopes with views over the strait. This is a genuinely seasonal attraction and mid-April is the peak. Two hours including the trip north; combine it with a ferry back down the Bosphorus.
Bosphorus ferry crossing. Public ferries between Eminonu, Karakoy and the Asian side at Kadikoy or Uskudar cost a normal transit fare and give the classic skyline view from the water. It is transport rather than a tour, which is exactly why it works. Twenty minutes each way, and Kadikoy is the better dinner destination.
