Tsukiji Outer Market. The wholesale auction moved to Toyosu, but Tsukiji's outer market still works as a food street of knife shops, tamagoyaki stands and small sushi counters. Arrive before nine, as many stalls wind down by early afternoon. It is a short walk from Ginza, making an easy pre-session morning.
Shibuya rooftop observation. An open-air deck above Shibuya station looking down on the scramble crossing and out towards Mount Fuji on clear days. Which airport suits a central Tokyo stay?
Haneda is materially closer and quicker into the centre. Narita is worth it only if the fare gap is large, since it adds roughly an hour each way.
What is the weather like in early April?
Mild spring conditions, generally light-jacket weather, with a genuine chance of rain. Late blossom may still be showing in the cooler pockets of the city.
Are cards accepted everywhere?
